Delete your Me, Lately account and data

This page is for Me, Lately: Habit Grid (the Me, Lately app), made by Meher Samhitha Reddigari. It explains how to delete your account and your data, what is removed, and what we keep.

If you don't use Plus

There is no account to delete. All your data is stored on your phone. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its data in your phone’s settings, deletes it. Backup files you exported stay wherever you saved them, so delete those yourself if you no longer want them.

If you have a Plus account

Option A: in the app

Open the app and go to Settings › Account › Delete account, then confirm. Your account and everything synced to it are deleted from our servers.

Option B: by email (no app needed)

Email contact@melately.app from the address on your account, with the subject “Delete my account”. If you signed in with Apple or Google, tell us which one, so we can find your account.

Email us to delete my account

We’ll confirm your request and delete your account within 30 days.

Cancel your subscription first

Deleting your account does not cancel your Plus billing. Cancel it in the store you bought it from, or you may keep being charged:

What gets deleted

  • Your account email, or your Apple or Google sign-in ID
  • Your synced habits, logs, rest days and pauses
  • Your weekly reviews and notes
  • Your mood and energy tags
  • Your Habit Circle memberships and the squares you shared there
  • Your cheers and nudges
  • Your push tokens (the codes that let your phone get notifications)

Data on your phone stays there until you uninstall the app or use Settings › Delete all my data.

What we keep, and for how long

  • Purchase records held by Apple, Google and RevenueCat, under their own policies. We don’t control how long they keep them.
  • Crash reports (Sentry) and anonymous usage analytics (PostHog) are kept until their normal retention runs out (90 days). They never include your habit names, notes or values.
  • Anything the law requires us to keep.
